In her teenage years, she fell in love with big band jazz music and co-founded The Honeybee Trio, a professional Andrews Sisters-style vocal group. The Honeybee Trio performed extensively throughout the west coast and toured Japan playing to sold out audiences and rave reviews, all while Natalie was still in high school.
